On CNBC’s “Halftime Report Final Trades,” Steve Weiss of Short Hills Capital Partners shared his positive outlook on Leidos Holdings, Inc. LDOS. According to Weiss, the company remains an attractive investment opportunity following the introduction of new management. “I like this one a lot,” he added.

Leidos reported a remarkable performance for the fourth quarter of FY23, showcasing a remarkable revenue growth of 8% year-over-year, reaching $3.98 billion, outpacing the consensus of $3.80 billion.

The company also achieved an adjusted EPS of $1.99, marking a 9% increase year-over-year, and surpassing the consensus of $1.74.

Jim Lebenthal of Cerity Partners expressed his support for The Walt Disney Company DIS as his final trade.

Disney reported better-than-expected earnings for its first quarter and disclosed a cash dividend of 45 cents per share. Additionally, the company revealed a new share repurchase program and projected fiscal 2024 earnings of approximately $4.60 per share.

Despite these positive developments, the revelation of Disney’s $1.5 billion investment in video game company Epic Games was met with disapproval from activist investor Nelson Peltz, who has been embroiled in a proxy fight with Disney due to stock underperformance.

Jenny Harrington of Gilman Hill Asset Management highlighted the promising 9.75% yield of NextEra Energy, Inc. (NYSE: NEE-PR).

NextEra Energy exceeded expectations with its fourth-quarter results, signaling strong performance.

Joe Terranova of Virtus Investment Partners endorsed The Progressive Corporation PGR, citing the company’s net income of $700.7 million for the month ended Jan. 31, 2024.
