Ethereum ETH/USD co-founder Vitalik Buterin is excited about an artificial intelligence application that can help the cryptocurrency’s
blockchain to deal with its biggest technical risk.

What’s New: Buterin shared his excitement about a specific AI application on social media: “AI-assisted formal verification of code and bug finding.”

He explained that Ethereum’s most significant technical challenge currently resides in potential bugs within its code, stating that “anything that could significantly change the game on that would be amazing.”

Additional Insight: The Ethereum co-founder has previously expressed concerns about the stagnation of cryptocurrency and the potential perils associated with AI.

When asked about his frequent preoccupations, the influential developer specifically mentioned “AI-related issues,” particularly existential risks stemming from it.

In 2022, Buterin emphasized that “unfriendly AI” poses the biggest risk to humanity.

In a recent blog post discussing the potential of crypto plus AI applications, Buterin envisaged an array of future AI applications with respect to crypto, such as prediction markets like AIOmen, which could inject much-needed liquidity into these markets.

He also cautioned against the dangers but expressed hope to see more attempts at constructive use cases of AI in all of these areas, to determine which of them are truly viable at scale.

Price Update: At the time of writing, ETH was trading at $2,922.31, up by 1.40% in the last 24 hours.
